A lesson for brave teachers! It relies on an award-winning NASA website devoted to climate change. Students get a lot of practice in reading for specific information and analyzing the data they encounter. Later, the lesson takes a lighter turn as learners can interview each other on how “eco-friendly” they are.

Make sure you leave plenty of time for this lesson, and choose your group wisely: although it is possible to use this with upper-intermediate groups, an outspoken pre-advanced or advanced class is perfect here. Don’t be deceived by the dry nature of most material: this can actually become a source of some heated debates!
